How It All Began

I was trained at the Gelato University in Bologna Italy, completed up to the advanced program and practiced in an Italian gelaterie.

I like food. I like the happiness and satisfaction that eating together good food brings. Finding myself not satisfied with the gelato and ice cream products that I can find in the market, I decided to study and do my own.

​

Gelato is an impulse purchase. You see it, imagine taste or remember pleasure, and you buy it. It’s seldom a product that you plan a trip for; though I often do.

​

Besides Italy, it’s very difficult to find great tasting gelato with smooth texture and uniform body.

​

For any commercial gelateries to survive, they have to consider expense and profit. It’s not viable for a gelaterie to make a gelato that costs $25 per kg. For home use you can. I can bring together flavors that are intense and satisfying. A lot of gelateries in the world use existing bases and recipes. Navigating flavor with that sort of starter has limitations. A gelato consultant may charge $5k to $20k to develop a new flavor.

I want to give everyone a chance to try this special treat - to own a recipe and create your own gelato.
